What is Epitalon?

Epitalon (also spelled Epithalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide developed from components of pineal gland extracts. It has the amino-acid sequence Ala–Glu–Asp–Gly (AEDG). Epitalon was designed for laboratory research into cellular aging processes and neuroendocrine regulation and is widely used in preclinical studies exploring telomere biology, cellular senescence, oxidative stress, and neuroprotection.
